Welders Without Borders / Soldadores Sin Fronteras launches new program in 2009.

 The WWBWSOS program or Welders Without Borders Welding Students Offer Solutions program.

This program will recognize welding students at secondary, post secondary and university programs who demonstrate the ability of welding to provide solutions that improves the condition of the human experience through the use of welding technology.  This program is open to students from any where in the world.

Students are invited to submit their project portfolio as a word document in the English language for consideration as the out standing student project for 2009.  Projects should reflect the ideals of the WWB program by demonstrating partnership between students of welding, government, education and private industry to provide environmental, energy, transportation or other relevant solutions to local or global problems that benefit mankind.

Selected student projects for 2009 for their school category will be recognized.

Project submission:

Submit your document containing the school, faculty, students and description of the problem and how welding was used to provide solutions for it.  Equipment and materials used with cost break down explaining how project will provide a solution to a recognized need.  Project team and supporting partners must be listed with contact information.  Original photo of the project and such other information as would help to detail the project with an explanation.  Document to be accompanied by letter from school administrator with contact information for verification of submittal.

Selection of wining project will be made by WWB founder Samuel Colton.  Recognized school will be notified of recognition.  Publicity of recognition is the responsibility of the selected school upon notification of selection. Copy requested.

 Dead line for submittals:  Project portfolio must be submitted by e-mail marked no later than last day of December 2009.

Determination of winner:  The first annual winning school's will be announced January 2010 with results posted on this web page.
